Evaluation Overview
To assess accessibility on your site, there are a variety of options. Often, we recommend starting with automated tools as they’re free:
- WAVE is a free tool that generates an instant summary of potential accessibility issues on a page. We highly recommend you download the chrome extension.
After you have scanned use the automated tools, we can work with you or your development team. Our team of accessibility experts can perform a hands-on evaluation to identify remaining accessibility problems, explain their impact on users, and suggest remediation strategies.
Please note: although these tools can help recognize accessibility pitfalls, it takes human evaluators to assess accessibility. After all, we recognize that there is no such thing as a perfect tool. There can sometimes be false positives when using a machine automated tool.
